Children's Classes:

  • Ages 6-10
  • Ages 11-16

Adults:

Classes are available for adults featuring the art of Kung-Fu San Soo. San Soo is one of the oldest self-defense arts in existence today. It is easy to learn, fun, good exercise for all fitness levels, and a smart thing to do for yourself.

Master Lawrence Rouse has been an instructor in the art of Kung Fu San Soo since 1974. Furthering his dream, he opened his own school in 1999 and developed a unique children's program. His patience and enthusiasm proved a good combination for teaching martial arts to kids and the response of his students, and their parents, convinced him to grow the program.

His teaching history includes the Kung-Fu club at UCLA and the LAPD Jeopardy Program. He has also trained actors, recording artists, LAPD officers and govermental agency personnel, as well as conducting corporate self-defense training classes. In addition, he specializes in working with special needs' children with such disorders as autism, attention deficit disorder and fragile x chromosome Master Rouse owns and operates Playa Vista Martial Arts in the brand new community of Playa Vista near Marina Del Rey and the Kung-Fu San Soo Center For Self-Defense in North Van Nuys, CA.
